Viewing a record is not permission to commercially redistribute it. Archive agreements, database terms, photographer rights, donor restrictions, privacy rules and jurisdiction-specific law may restrict copying even where the underlying historical fact is usable. We verify each source's permitted use and any attribution requirements before reproducing material. Do not share source-provider login credentials.
The default report uses factual summaries and citations/record locators. Images, scans, excerpts and transcriptions are reproduced only where a documented permission, applicable license, public-domain determination or other lawful basis permits the particular use. The source register states provenance, use and rights basis; reproductions require a recorded permission review. Restricted images are omitted and replaced by a citation and access instructions. Customer payment does not remove licensing limits. We do not resell source databases, bulk scrape, republish substantial databases or imply affiliation with repositories.
Customers warrant that supplied materials may lawfully be used for the requested private research. Tell us about restrictions. Permission to research is distinct from permission to reproduce or publish. Provider terms can change; verify them at time of access. FamilySearch terms and Ancestry terms are examples, not blanket licenses for other providers.
